Chapter 2 - Ephemerides

An ephemeris (pl., ephemerides) is a table of positions of a celestial object (planet, comet, Moon, etc.) for a sequence of dates. This chapter calculates the positions of the major planets, Sun, Moon, and the Galilean satellites of Jupiter at a selected instant of time so that such tables can be constructed, if desired.
